Messages not updating bug

Ever since we started using mChat, some of our forum members have reported problems with chat messages sometimes getting stuck. New messages won't update, even when sent by the user themselves. Until they refresh the page, then they appear. It never seems to be a problem of the message not sending, ...

Re: Feature request, more noticable invites.

The Blinking counter extension I posted seems pretty straight forward, but with further testing it turns out there are some annoying bugs in it's implementation. So yeah it is indeed needlessly complicated. I have ended up doing a simple css modification on our forum styles instead. Terry's code was...

Feature request, room invite menu icon.

This is only a suggestion for a feature that would make room invitations just a bit quicker. If an 'Invite to room' icon could be added to the mChat post menu, along with options such as 'Reply with quote'. Similar to how 'Send Private message' works now. It would simply open the same invite modal t...

Re: Feature request, more noticable invites.

For anyone interested, I have discovered another nifty extension that can be combined with the above extension to great effect. To make notifications and room invites even more noticeable.

Offline members still appear in room lists

I have noticed members no longer online on the forum still appear in rooms list (There are users in the room). I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it is intentional that users have to manually leave a room to be taken off the list? I think they are eventually purged from the list, but I'm not sure w...

Re: Multiple user login notification spam

The reason why http access to the sub domain is still allowed is that our certificates have to be manually set up and updated, and in kind of a roundabout way (long story). So at least for an initial period, we decided to keep http access to the forum open specifically. In case the worst happens, up...

Re: Multiple user login notification spam

I think we have finally nailed down the culprit! We recently switched the site to use https protocol, but some sub domains still support http access as well. Users who had not updated their old bookmarks have been confirmed to be the same users causing multiple login notices. So it's not a problem w...

Re: Mobile auto-correct issue

Even though the autocomplete attribute is in the specifications , it doesn't seem to be taken into account at all. At least that's what I'm experiencing with Firefox on Desktop and Mobile. What's also interesting is that in mChat 2.0.x where both textarea and input was used, only the input had auto...

Re: Multiple user login notification spam

If anyone else has a similar problem, our current solution is to simply disable the login notifications under ACP -> mChat -> Global settings. It is a useful, but not really critical feature. At least until I have more time to troubleshoot the cause of the issue. The TODO list is simply too long. Th...

Re: Mobile auto-correct issue

We are now using this patch for mchat_panel.html in the style template (line 10): <textarea id="mchat-input" name="message" class="no-auto-resize {{ MCHAT_MAX_INPUT_HEIGHT ? 'mchat-multi-line' : 'mchat-single-line' }}" rows="1" autocomplete="on" spellcheck="true"></textarea> After some further testi...
