Re: phpBB 3.3 Update

phpBB 3.3.0 has another serious core issue that makes the password re-set page crash with critical errors. There is a working patch, but I would recommend everyone to wait for 3.3.1 before attempting any upgrade. https://tracker.phpbb.com/browse/PHPBB3-16308?attachmentViewMode=gallery As far as I kn...

Re: Problem with large room archive

The boardware is running on:
Database server: MySQL(i) 5.7.29-cll-lve

Good call, I tried disabling the 'archive search' extension, which seems a reasonable culprit. And now it works!
It seems archive search is loading a lot of data.

Re: Feature request for chatrooms

We have some issues with phpBB 3.3.0 so far, out of the box I would say they are not fully compatible. Upgrading to 3.3.0 at this point is not recommended. But there are workarounds if you are willing to get your hands dirty with the code. Up to phpBB 3.2.8 we had no serious issues with mChat. Anyho...

Problem with large room archive

Hello again. Here I am with yet another problem. It's not too critical, we can live with it for now, but in the long run I'll have to find some way to deal with it. mChat and archives work well overall. But we have one room on our mchat installation that is especially big. Yeah it's kind of large. S...

Re: Google chrome issue after upgrading to 3.3

I did some digging and found that jquery-3.4.1.min.js is specified separately in 'functions_acp.php' as well, and in several prosilver 3.3 files. So for now I don't think the hack of renaming the jquery file is recommend. Instead I've restored the original jquery-3.4.1.min.js file, then uploaded a s...

Re: Google chrome issue after upgrading to 3.3

I tried just replacing the file with version 1.12.4 and renaming it. And what do you know, now desktop opera, mobile opera and mobile chrome suddenly works! There is probably a reason why the phpBB 3.3 upgraded jquery though, so I need to do some further testing to see that rolling back to an older ...

Re: Google chrome issue after upgrading to 3.3

Replace jQuery 3 with jQuery 1.12.4 and see if that helps. jQuery 1.12.4 was used in phpBB 3.2.x. The jquery path phpBB uses seems to be hardcoded, the file under assets/javascript/ is named 'jquery-3.4.1.min.js' So, where in the code do need to replace that for the boardware to use an alternate fi...
