Maybe it's just me but I don't understand what you want to do. Can you post an example or an image to illustrate?

Hello kasimi.

At the moment phpbb 3.2.0. show me forumlist like this:
  • Forum 1
    • Subforum1.1
    • Subbforum1.1.1
    • Subforum1.1.2
    • Subforum1.2
    • Subforum1.2.1
    • Subforum1.2.2
  • Forum 2
  • Forum 3
I try to show forumlist and subforums like this:
  • Forum 1
    • Subforum1.1
      • Subforum1.1.1
      • Subforum1.1.2
    • Subforum1.2
      • Subforum1.2.1
      • Subforum1.2.2
  • Forum 2
  • Forum 3
Do you understand?

Bye Jan

Yes, I think I got it. Instead of a flat list, you want the subforums to be displayed like a tree, keeping their forum structure. Very interesting idea, but I've never seen something like this.

From user GFKSX it calls "ListSubforumsInColumns".

This extension only lists in columns. Unfortunately, no indentation to the right is supported here.

I had a look at the core code, there's the display_forums() function in includes/functions_display.php. The core.display_forums_modify_row event could be used to generated the indentations, and in the core.display_forums_modify_template_vars event, which is also used in the extension you linked, the indentations could be added to the template blocks. Not an easy task, especially generating the forum hierarchy in the first step, but I don't see why it shouldn't be possible.

I'd like to support the fact that it works. Unfortunately I don't have a credit card to send you a donation. Is there another way?

Would you like to change the code?

Hi Kasimi, thank you very much for your effort to change the code so that a right click on the list of subforums in the forum overview finally becomes visible.

Look like this on a testboard phpbb 3.2.0 with php 7.0.28:

For my live forum it is one of the most important extensions at all. Unfortunately this is also not possible with phpbb 3.2.3.

Thanks also to the original author who had the basic idea.(If he should read along here)

Thank you Kasimi  :D :+1:
