Hi, sorry for late reply holidays :) i have updated my forum to 3.2.1
when i try to install/update to version 1.2.3 i get this error:

Code: Select all

Catchable fatal error: Argument 5 passed to kasimi\mchatstickyfooter\event\listener::__construct() must be an instance of phpbb\controller\helper, instance of dmzx\mchat\core\mchat given, called in /var/www/vip12/sites/vip8968114/httpd/htdocs/testforum/cache/production/container_4335734bbdd20f586549a504dff5f80c.php on line 2397 and defined in /var/www/vip12/sites/vip8968114/httpd/htdocs/testforum/ext/kasimi/mchatstickyfooter/event/listener.php on line 86
Also in the main chatroom, when creating a private room.
Trying to invite someone produces the "you do not have permission"
pops up despite all permissions set to yes across Mchat.

It sounds like not all extension files were updated. Please disable the Sticky Footer extension, delete the extension folder via FTP and upload a fresh copy. Enable the extension and clear the board cache in the ACP.

Also update to the latest Rooms version and open a new topic in the Rooms forum if that doesn't fix the problem.

Ok disabled SF, deleted it from ext folder uploaded fresh copy, cleared cache and enabled the extension. Went to forum and SF was not showing on any page. Reverted back to old version and works fine ?

the sticky footer chat window appears as open by default, which obscures the page on mobile.
Is it possible to have it closed (tab only) by default?

For reference, this is an issue with the Collapsible Categories extension and was already requested here.

To force mChat to be collapsed for all existing users, run this SQL query in phpMyAdmin or similar. It worked in my local tests but I can't guarantee this works in all cases. Make sure you have a backup of the users table.

Code: Select all

UPDATE phpbb_users
SET collapsible_categories = CASE
WHEN collapsible_categories IS NULL OR LENGTH(collapsible_categories) <= 2 THEN '["mchat"]'
  ELSE REPLACE(collapsible_categories, ']', ',"mchat"]')
END
WHERE collapsible_categories NOT LIKE '%"mchat"%'
At the moment I can't think of a way to set it for future user accounts without heavy code editing.

Thanks for the quick reply, doesn't work for me. Havent had many complaints tbh, is what it is, good work mate.

Added after 29 minutes 11 seconds:
Just to clarify, the query did collapse the chatroom and the sticky footer i forgot to purge the cache

Both the StickyFooter extension and mChat itself will have to be updated. I will have a solution for you soon.
