Hi Marti,

I have successfully tested mChat Rooms with phpBB 3.2. If you find any issues please report them here. :+1:

hello.

In a test room a testuser inveted a other testuser but a third user can write and see in testroom.he was was not inveted.

How do I set it that third user can not see Chatroom content without password?

bye Jan

Edit 1:

To Invete new users is ok , but i wish a function to a private chat without passord.
Select one / two / ... users and then appears a new chat room with a lock symbol....only users whose selected can read and write.

all other users only see but can not read and write.

Private chat ;)

EDIT 2

How could i change this?
mchat.jpg

Fixed....

I have found it!!!! :D weith from 250px to 275 px - it works!

Next question:

if i write a post in a room and send this post , then doesn´t appear the red circle with the number inside.
notification_01.jpg
Other users logged in (after i have posted) they don´t see the message.
If users still logged in and THEN i write a post then apperars the red circle with the number inside.

i want to display the notification about new messsages if users logged in!

It this possible?

Bye Jan

EDIT:

Second question:

It is possible to include a function to move posts from room "a" to room "b"????
If a user have posted a message in room "a" and it should in room "b" then i can move it in the right room.

Hello All,
Just installed this great extension on the 3.2.0 Ne-blackgreen style,

and is working well, can give permissions to groups,

which they can select yes/no to showing chatrooms etc.

Chatrooms additional idea:-

Just wondering if the smiles and bbcode etc can be displayed across the two displays ( Mchat & Chatroom names ) at the bottom of chatbox. Like the smileys and bbcodes etc are all bunched up to the left side under the main chat box as normal but is now more as we see the chatrooms index at right.

Not that it matters that much, just an idea to spread them out

Added after 32 minutes 13 seconds:
Ah yes,

I now see sometimes the rooms are displayed at top of mchat,

so disregard my last comment. :)

Hello All,

been using Chatrooms for a day now, and is great

Now just had an idea for Chatrooms development,

1 - where a Moderator could move certain chats to another room by clicking boxes,

so certain chats can be addressed further away from being lost in the main chat for instance.

Can do this manually in anycase

2 - I disabled the Mchat Archives,

across the board so the Chatrooms are private,

up until the password protected rooms can be isolated from the Archives. :)

or

a future fix, would be to have room archives only

edit:-

Just installed infinite scroll from here,

and that did the trick yay.

(Just scroll fully towards the oldest post, and a rotating icon loads the new 50? in that room )

3 - I installed the collapsible Category Extension,

and noticed the whole Mchat and Rooms are under the same category.

Be nice if we could have the Rooms Index collapsible :)

and a bonus having the room names in a dropdown list,

when too many rooms are made with the unlimited rooms selected in ACP

Hello Again,

seems that the infinite scroll extension,

only happens in the main index mchat,

and not in the Chat Rooms. :hb:

You need to set a password for the room. An invite to a password-protected room doesn't automatically allow the invited user to join the room. The invited user still needs to enter the correct password. You can send the user a PM with the password. Alternatively, in the next Rooms release, there will be a way to send a message along with the invites, where you can mention the password they need to enter.

I have increased the panel width in the latest release. :+1:

Sorry, this won't be added. It would take a huge effort to implement this.

I like the idea, although it's not a priority right now. When I have some time I'll try to find a solution that doesn't clutter the interface too much.

There are only a few simple edits required to spread out the edit field and buttons:
  1. Rename ext/kasimi/mchatrooms/styles/prosilver/template/event/dmzx_mchat_body_before.html to dmzx_mchat_messages_container_before.html
  2. Rename ext/kasimi/mchatrooms/styles/prosilver/template/event/dmzx_mchat_body_after.html to dmzx_mchat_messages_container_after.html
    • Open ext/dmzx/mchat/styles/prosilver/theme/mchat.css
    • Find:

      Code: Select all

      - This code is only accessible to donors -
    • Replace with:

      Code: Select all

      - This code is only accessible to donors -
NAPWR wrote:1 - where a Moderator could move certain chats to another room by clicking boxes,
This is a complex feature. I'll make a note but don't expect it to be added anytime soon.

NAPWR wrote:2 - I disabled the Mchat Archives,

I don't understand the issue here. If a user has the permission to see password-protected rooms, they are all displayed in the rooms list. While the user can see them all, he needs to provide the password to join them. The archive works in a similar way. The user can't read the archive of a password-protected room, unless he has joined to the room, for which he needs to enter the password. In other words: A user can't read archived messages of a room that he hasn't joined.

NAPWR wrote:Be nice if we could have the Rooms Index collapsible :)
Sounds like a great idea, I'll try to get this into the next release.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. :+1:

Thank-you Kasimi for your detailed reply,

I will try some edits soon,

and didn't realize that private rooms was private in the Archives.

Chatrooms has gone to the next level.
