Hello Kasimi and All,

I've had a problem with new chat posts not showing in view live,
with members complaining about not knowing there was a new reply, until they refresh page or came back to chat.
and live is switched on in ACP/Mchat.

What I found is if we scroll back up the Mchat page, I think that is when the chat page is still loaded with older posts, stops new chat posts showing up in view at bottom of chat.
So what I found today is to F5 refresh page after your previous chat page scrolling, and chat box is normal again and should show chat posts as they are made at bottom again.

I was wondering if anyone can test to see if the is correct.

Regards Dave I

Edit:

It may well be browser issues,

but the unusual thing is that live worked well for 2 years.

I even disabled Infinite Scroll and not help now and so enabled Infinite scroll again.

The chat message amount setting works when chat page is low on chats, untill the page fills up.

Hope to find something that can fix live again.

I am using FireFox now for a Test for a few days,

and if this works Live Chat updates, Google Chrome has gone backwards.

Hello kasimi,

it is possible to add a permission to this extension by group? because if I put in the group permissions NOT in can see the archives, with this extension it is useless.

Hi Tigers, thanks for the idea! It makes sense to not allow users to use Infinite Scroll if they don't have permissions to use the archive. I think instead of adding a new permission, we can use the "Can view the archive" permission and if the user doesn't have it, we don't allow the user to use Infinite Scroll. What do you think?

@NAPWR Sorry for missing your post. There's not much I can to with the error description you give. It seems to be happening randomly which makes it hard to reproduce on my end. Did you check your browser console for any JavaScript errors?

Version 1.1.1 is available in the first post. Scrolling is now disabled for users that don't have mChat's Can view the archive permission. Thanks to Tigers for the idea. :+1:

Hello kasimi,

Unfortunatly it does not working om my board.. i've got all the permissions as owner.
Could it be because we use 4 styles?

Hi Cas, what styles are you using? Did you test it with prosilver?

Hi kasimi,

We use customized prosilver, Mixture, Multi-Design and proflat.
I tested on prosilver, that one is what i'm using myself as default style
