Disable popup error reporting?

#1

Post by Pangolin » 05 Apr 2020, 08:27

Hello everyone.
I am running phpbb 3.3.0 and latest mchat release.
files folders permissions - OK
Cookies settings - OK
I am getting occasional popup error report which says:

Code: Select all

No route found for "GET /mchat/action/refresh": Method Not Allowed (Allow: POST)
Looks like this:

This happens during auto refresh but not every time, it seems that it's completely random. Other than that mchat works fine, everything else works properly

I've seen on phpbb forums that it's related to cache, but it does not say exactly what should be done.
If there is no proper solution for this, can I at least somehow disable popup error reporting?

I replied here: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... pic/216721

I wouldn't recommend to disable the error popup. You won't notice any errors happening on your board. Anyway, you've been warned:
  • Open ext/dmzx/mchat/styles/all/template/javascript/mchat.js
  • Find and delete:

    Code: Select all

    phpbb.alert(title, responseText);

Thanks for the reply it's really appreciated.
I've tried all solutions from your posts at phpbb forums. I am searching and reading everything I could find for past 7 days but wasn't able to fix it.
User in post you linked says that he fixed cache problems but does not explain how. Just deleting it does not work.

Error is not consistent and does not happen on every refresh, since chat works fine and board woks with no problem I'd rather just disable popup error message.
Thanks again.

Glad it works. :+1: Though let me stress one last time that this issue does not only affect mChat and needs to be fixed by your hosting provider.
