Mchat Predictive Text

#1

Post by NAPWR » 16 May 2019, 04:55

Hi Kasimi and All,

I was asked by a member to have predictive text in our forum, 6 months ago,

so at the time, I simply allowed it in the ACP, which it worked in the forum and mchat with mobile devices.

Now after the new Mchat 2.1.2 update, the predictive text works in the forum, but not in Mchat.

Question is:

did I make a Mchat file change to enable predictive text in Mchat? (do not remember doing this),

or is the new Mchat update missing a script?

Thanks in advance,

Regards Dave I

Hi Dave,

can you explain what you mean by predictive text? Where can I find that setting in the ACP?

Hi Kasimi,

it is like auto correct, only as we type, there is a bar above text box guessing what word we are typing.

Only thing I can find now, is ACP/Board features/allow board notifications, but I suspect the switch I did back then is gone.

At the time, there was one of them un-ticked, so I allowed it and worked, hmm.

I'm curious, how exactly did you add it back? I assume it's a browser feature you activate by setting some HTML attribute?
